A good find Ozjin and a very interesting video.

Looks like its not syringes (OK everyone knows that was a joke) but is indeed drugs they have in mind.

The three criteria they are using for their choice of target are -

(1) Businesses that have completed the research cycle and are moving towards pre-clinical trials;

(2) Businesses that have ‘multiple commercialisation options’. They ‘don’t want a business that has only one outcome’;
[does Midkine have multiple drug and disease potential - check]

(3) Businesses that have been involved or collaborated with the leading scientists in the relevant area;
[has CDY collaborated with the leading scientists in the Midkine field - check]

They state that there have been two positive consequences of the current Covid situation that make action at this point attractive for them -

(a) There are now significantly reduced regulatory hurdles around drug development and delivery of those drugs to market; and

(b) There have been leaps and bounds in drug development technology with the mRNA technology associated with the vaccines produced by companies such as Pfizer and Moderna;
[has CDY also been involved with the technology relating to antibodies - check]

I suspect we will find that CDY’s Midkine patents have not gone unnoticed in deciding upon a target.Provelmare (or Lyramid) might be one of the targets potentially receiving a knock on the door.
