anadarko take over western gas, page-4

A few years ago I was heavily into XEN which was ticking over nicely with a group of small companies drilling deep gas wells at East Lost Hills in the US.
If I remember correctly and I will stand corrected if I am wrong Anardako came in to manage the area as the lead company and the whole project turned into a s....fight with all of the junior partners squeezed until some actually folded.
I will wait and see where this goes and if any implications for PGS. I think they are only in partnership with Western Gas for a small number of wells.
Anyone that can remember or add please do so.
