At this stage it looks like tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is the most promising. It acts as an anticoagulant by breaking down fibrin. Fibrin deposition is a characteristic of Covid-19 severe inflammatory lung condition. It is also cheap and widely available.
Anagrelide's uniqueness is its the ability to lower platelet count without an effect on red or white blood cell production.
