This isn't about recommending specific stocks, but rather exploring trading platforms for HNW investors.
HNW investors often seek platforms that cater to their needs, such as:
Commission structure: Low brokerage fees or commission-free trades. (Better alternative there then selfwealth)
Margin Rates: Competitive margin rates for leveraged investing. (Selfwealth doesn't provide this product)
Interest on Cash: Interest earned on uninvested cash balances. (Selfwealth doesn't provide it)
Account Features: Advanced order types, research tools, and international market access. (Selfwealth limited to US, AU & HK but HNW normally have requirement to trade multiple market that commsuck or IBKR or CMC provides not selfwealth).
The best platform for an HNW investor depends on their individual needs and preferences. Here are some factors to consider:
Trading frequency and volume: High-volume traders may benefit more from low commissions.
Investment style: Active traders may need advanced features, while buy-and-hold investors may prioritize interest on cash. (Selfwealth don't have advanced desktop app to trade like what you get with IBKR or Webull or Tiger)
SelfWealth's $9.50 brokerage fee might not be the most competitive, neither their product are any superior to other alternative. So it is easy to say and stay in delusion as a shareholders that "HNW individuals don't care about cheap platforms like stake or Webull. New swf team has just got started." or start asking question why would be HNW don't use IBKR or Webull or Tiger or Betashare zero brokerage ETF trading and start using selfwealth.
Note- Betashare provides ZERO brokerage trading for Australian ETF but with custodian model.
Good luck if this works for you but as a shareholder asking question will only help to support thesis that new management providing better alternative product the market otherwise HNW has many choices unlike small retail holders in my opinion.
