However, I think that you have then strayed into some assumptions which have possibly been made due to a lack of data. If you look back a couple of company reports ( sorry, but I'm currently trying to move house and don't have time to point at the one you need), then you will see that the company reported that they needed to re-write their control software to progress from their prototype chip to the current mass produced version with real world variations in tolerances. So the results that you have produced (very clever) only show what the company reported. i.e. that the software needs to be adjusted to account for the tolerances in the mass produced version. Not the other way around.
