    Ninie45 - 1987 doesnt show up because the chart shows year-end closing prices. The Dow closed 1987 at about 2000, had a big spike to 2,700 and drop to 1,600 during the year, but then closed 1988 almost back where it started at 1,900.

    winkinatcha - Conceivably, yes perhaps the channel support could hold again, however it appears the support has already been broken and with the overriding issue of massive disinvestment IMO this is extremely unlikely.

    doudou and starbust - Not clear on both your comments. You're both suggesting the chart is not bearish enough??
