It's simple ...many posters on this MSB board have at the minimum a basic understanding of MSB Treatments, some much much more, and where they come from....but extrapolate that into the wider population in those two predominantly Catholic countries being discussed. Do you really think that the fact that MSB's Stem Cells comes from the hip rather than from an embryo would be widely known in the general population of Spain and Italy? I don't believe so but I do know that these treatments are being trialled with the sickest of the sick or the ones heading that way and that in that scenario there is a great need to factor in peoples faith and beliefs and lack of knowledge when requesting them to participate in a trial.

If you cannot see why this could be a real challenge to the docs trying to get people and or families to agree to participate in any trial at what is life or death moments for all of them I simply do not know how to make that clearer. It matters greatly regarding the likelihood of getting them to sign on IMHO and in my own experience.
