Been thinking about ageing..
A we age our Msc function becomes impaired in proliferation and differentiation.
That make us more susceptible to many diseases like osteoarthritis. Even flu vaccines are less effective in elderly.
There is less than 2% death rate in covid infected under 60 yrs and then jumps to 20% in over 70. Under 30 yrs don't make the chart and children are virtually immune already.
Is msc the missing link? Hopeful our therapy will eventually be considered not just regenerative but also preventative to the many effects of ageing.
