The sad thing is that whilst Stormer suggests that hotcopper posts don't affect the share price, the opposite is true in a thinly traded company. E.g. there might be a couple of retail investors considering buying a parcel of say $10k each who decide against it because they have read that management are "rank amateurs". This stock is so thinly traded at the mo, that even small parcels of shares create volume that is higher than the daily average. Looking at the sales over the year, the average is just over 3m shares per day and that estimate doesn't take into account days of zero trades!

Some companies even refer to hotcopper when answering the asx on a price query!

How many people have bought or decided against buying a stock because of something they have read on hotcopper or another 3rd party info source? I know I am always keen to read the contrarian views of anyone at all when buying speccy stocks. The more the better. Any excuse not to buy at this end of the market tbh.


Back to the presentation, what's more important to me is that none of the major holders have sold shares. Imagine if the top holder was concerned with daily fluctuations in their holding? About 320m shares at 0.008 is worth $2.56m. They lose $640k if it drops to 0.006!

Next week the appendix 3b will be released and soon after we might get to find out some of the parties involved. The half yearly is also due anytime from now until 28th Feb.
