Expanding further on this point:
Any shareholder complaining about the 3% ROE (TeamInvest questions during AGM) is framing it incorrectly. Sure the accounting treatment displays it this way, but in reality shareholders paid with overpriced equity, for other overpriced equity. It should be adjusted accordingly.
If both were revised downward by 30%, the asset figure changes substantially. So do the ROE/ROC figures.
