You cannot go public saying you have cancelled or not renewed contracts and then say “oops it was only a threat”. Either they were terminated or not. All Strike’s announcements and a formal takeover circular say they were cancelled. End of story I am afraid. Stuart can try to renegotiate but I wonder how keen AGIG would be to deal with him and incur lots more potentially wasted
costs if he changes his mind again. The JV partners must have paid the break fees even if (I bet) Warrego only did so with gritted teeth.
