The entire statement seems very odd to me. @von - Are you sure the reference was made in relation to obtaining a stake in the entire company?? Or was it perhaps a reference to a stake in particular asset(s) - such as increasing stake in WE, or gaining a stake in a reduced SE asset that is to be tied into WE processing arrangements??
Surely if the reference is to a substantial holding in STX then it would be Hancock rather than Warrego as the actor.
