A few things come to mind about the conundrum the WA gov't is in regarding the competing interest for and against a change to the domgas policy.
Firstly you have the entrenched, woodside saying we can supply domgas from our existing and new supply in Scarborough. Then you have the Fed's under pressure with social groups lobbying to deny the Federal Approvals needed for This project.
These groups show their strength in other way like today's denying in the senate of the changes to immigration laws. Basically a show of strength, that unless you support our environmental deals we will mess you around Nationally on other important issues, in a way political vandalism.

Then you have the Resource Powerhouse in WA, namely Min Res .... pushing its agenda hard for a domgas policy change, again using their persuasion of ... unless we get export, we Can't help you out with your WA energy crisis eg. Stokes already got his tummy tickled so no word from them, silence is their best strategy.
Then you have the likes of Gina, Min Res, and RIO .... using mind boggling amounts of Deisel ... IMPORTED and transported direct to their Iron Ore operations, at huge costs. with a conversion to locally sourced GAS making the most economic sense.
Then you have to consider the future processing of Lithium in WA. That industry too requiring huge amounts of energy, not just in extraction, but in processing ... also making economic sense to be powered by Gas and not Diesel.

See the condunrum the WA gov't is in. It makes the most sense for domestic WA Gas, to be consumed / used by the Resources Industry, on WA soil, as opposed to exporting WA domgas .... AND importing endless quantities of diesel, from refineries out of Singapore ... owed by WHO ? , likely Chevron ... who export WA Gas as well.

WA is so powerless !!!! at the mercy of Policy that is most influential on the voters, not what's best for the State for the next 50 years or so.

Then you have little old Strike !!! crying loudly about the impending problems of WA gas shortages and receiving NO Support. Voices squashed !!!

Share price squashed !!! ... right up until the time the Billionaires ... who know they need This Gas .. come and take it !

Until then .... just like WGO .. we Strike Shareholders wait .. for the Billies to come with their $$$$. Money which came from Exporting WA resources and Importing Arab Oil. Somewhat Ironic IMO
