Dividend be cut to 18c or 15c is also at odds with revised guidance of 25c:
There are many factors influencing share price sentiment, no doubt speculation around the dividend is one of them. With a DPR of 208% and a 10% uplift in earnings in the second half required just to meet bottom end of guidance, everyone but management believes this is unsustainable,
If the market is right, another downgrade is coming.
Consensus 1 year price target of 8 analysts is $2.83, implying a 53% increase in just 12 months. Forsyth Barrs target is closely aligned with consensus.
To provide context, there is a 19% disparity between highest target ($3.88) and lowest ($2.19). Looking at the below chart I have little confidence in analysts share price expectations:
