I would invest in telstra if they 'used' their position as Australia's leading marketing co ,their approx 50% customer base ie 8m ,an excellent domestic and global network to expand into growth sectors ,the list is well known as posted by myself and others.
The problem imo is penns intentions are just to provide connectivity,there is ,imo,no profit future in providing just connectivity,the profit is in using the competitive advantages of above to smash into other growth sectors just like apple did with apple pay

Then the problem becomes penn has no interest in developing outside of connectivity and y he sold out of autohome like thodey sold out of sou fun while real estate.com continues to expand globally.
Then the problem becomes a tls ceo that understands the ceo's required to run above list.
