If you have all round vision cameras, plus detection radar, then visibility is secondary. After all, how many people don't look, or fail to see? If these are not working, the vehicle is defective. ie. unroadworthy. Therefore you should not be driving it. Would an aircraft take off with the radar or altimeter not working?
I too, drive an older vehicle without all these driver aids. Because I choose to. However if you buy a vehicle with them, then it is incumbent on you the operator, to make sure they are working before use. If they aren't, and you deem the vehicle unsafe to operate, call a float truck, and get the vehicle shipped to a repair shop, and repaired before use.
The responsibility for safe operation of the craft is still the captain's. The buck stops with you mate.
