You're putting an awful lot of faith in technology. I have very little. I'd rather trust my own eyes than any tech. Tell me, who is responsible if your reversing camera is faulty and you kill someone? You or the tech company? Why are we taking responsibility AWAY from drivers?
There is a MASSIVE difference between tech in cars and planes. If something goes wrong with a car it will generally simply stop. Obviously, planes cannot be allowed to stop. Most of the stuff on the cockpit dash is to make sure the plane doesn't 'stop.'
