Actually quite good as a drink snack on crusty white bread with heaps of butter.
You only want like 1 anchovie on the bread to a bite.
I think people that hate them and react much like yourself is the same as the old vegemite story - if you paste vegemite thick or trying eating a whole mouthfull of anchovies of course it will taste disgusting lol
