of course dates matter. Forget my birthday in my family and you're dead! :-) Forget my mothers birthday and you're out of the will. Forget our anniversary and well, it cold in the spare bed. :-)

Seriously its entirely possible in my view that human sentiment at a highly aggregated level moves in waves of advance and retreat. I just don't know that its yet a reliable tradeable idea, or at least more tradeable than other more pragmatic approaches.
