HLI will need to release more excess capital.
I guess HLI need to release directly to profit those reserves taken on policies where borrower took voluntary covid repayment holiday and for which HLI classified as delinquent forever, if that borrower refinances that loan. Ie. It’s both a release of reserves and a crystallisation of profit and elimination of risk.
