How do Coral Islands grow, Tarvoid?

Obviously they don’t grow in an upward fashion as “coral’s “ don’t tend to proliferate much above the sea level.

So let’s have a think.

Is it possible that all those low lying coral islands that are expanding their above the water footprints, have dying coral reefs, suffering from climate change, rising ocean temperatures, acidity spikes and the likes?

Or perhaps.

Is it possible that they are growing their above the water footprint due to their coral reefs being really healthy and not in a catastrophic decline due to MM emissions?

I will give you a hint, the abc24 website gives a very good explanation as to why these low lying coral islands are growing (and it isn’t option one).
