Coppertop -- who am I to call anyone naive, given how long I held on long and exposed the last few months...The AELB is an administrative unit of a government department which can under its constituent Act be subject to directions from the responsible Minister. I think any AELB board member and executve who went against the wishes of the PM would have a fairly short career span.
By the way, I meant 6-8 weeks, not months. I should add one other factor that I consider relevant is that the 2 additional conditions were relatively straightforward. Clearly, the AELB has been going slow. I suspect people higher up have suggested they would be pleased if they did so.
