M,
Interesting post as usual. Constructive and pungent.
Vanadium is a highly sought after "strategic metal" which is and will be in "huge" demand for the use of the booming business of electric car batteries.
The current values in the SP moving north is measured by off-takes and the said completion of the the DFS not to mention the finance covering the mine construction which follows.
An important key to the success of the project is the Tivan process, which we all know that it produces three products- premium (>96%) battery grade vanadium pentoxide, titanium dioxide concentrate and high purity iron oxide powder. The Tivan compared against or in contrast to the "pyro-metallurgical" processes used in a number of other vanadium operations, which mind you a relatively complex and expensive and produce only "a vanadium product" thus not extracting full value from the process feed.
Mount Peak's vanadium is highly sought after especially for the high-capacity batteries, in particular electric cars, which mind you is a disruptive technology. There are also issues concerning South African mines nearing end of term and production issues with other operations.
I don't see any issues with TNG. every thing is in place M.
