Folks,
Just to get away from sweating bullets on 0.1 or 0.2c movements for a moment (OMG +12.5% .....LoL)
IMO , There is enormous incentive to get the “backbone” railway link from Lolabe into the countries interior.
Companies with Iron ore interests alone such as Sundance, CMEC, Core, Equatorial and Govt owned Ntem & Nkout .
The Cameroon Govt is sitting on massive wealth of unlocked resources.
Recently completed and ready to go into commercial operation is the Kiribi-Mboro Port Facility.
A corner stone of infrastructure which maps out progressive facilities for Bauxite, LNG, Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese Iron ore, etc.
One of the biggest cost components for SDL is the 510km rail link.
With so many affected stakeholders, surely there would be synergy in developing and sharing a common infrastructure?
From a Govt perspective , the rail is bigger than SDL only.
Although it appeared that SDL alone would be the saviour in providing this ,I believe this will need to morph
into some other arrangement in a regional infrastructural sense.
It is in Cameroon's long term interests to get this in place.
The rail with the Port infrastructure (already occurring) will be a major key in unlocking the wealth and latent value of those companies.
