For Gold to go up or down there needs to be a reason...

    The main reasons are...

    Political
Been bad news for gold lately....Syria...Egypt..Iran....

Mainly calm or calmer than before....
    No additional conflict or threats...

The yanks Tea Part also quiet...no default talk...

    Inflation..
Jobless numbers all around the world keeping ....wage increases to a minimum..recent times..

Price of good and services kept quite....no increase...in inflation at the moment...

    Economic news.

European debt ridden countries been quiet of late....Greece Italy..Spain..no news...everyone happy?

The Feds talking about Tapering...slowing down the money printing press...

All the above has decreased the demand for safe haven Gold...

    But....

Is this really a long term triple whammy to K.O. The gold price?

    No Way...

All the fundament issues/problems are still in play......

Israel has not spoken or acted on the Iran deal....Syria is still fighting...Egypt is still bubbling under the surface....the tea party are just regrouping....

And don't..talk about the Europeans.....has Greece or Italy or Spain found some free money at the end of a Rainbow.....
Are they all of a sudden debt Free?
    NO

Can the Fed stop pumping money anytime soon....they could if they wanted to enter a Depression.....
    No

Based on the above points....I think that on the balance of probabilities...
Gold is simply taking a breather for a little until thinks start to heat up...?

Gold is cheap just for now...not in 2014...
    IMO
