Bolt does NOT run a national broadcaster like Scott does with the ABC and he makes zero attempt to provide a balanced view of issues before him; Bolt is an advocate of a particularly narrow and highly charged set of views.
Your point is unremarkable and not worth making. (I was already aware of it, having read a long piece on Bolt in the Melbourne Age some time ago).
It's not unusual for people to have a more left wing youth to a more conservative older age. This is less commensurate with wisdom and more to do with intellectual laziness and becoming identified with entrenched interests.
The ABC used to let Bolt rant on Insiders until he became totally unable to contain himself, and he also got himself into legal hot water. They always have someone representing the right on Insiders.
