Dental Services Group Acquires Americus Dental Labs, Inc.
August 18, 2006 – Minneapolis, Minnesota – Dental Services Group (“DSG” or “Company”) today announced that it has acquired Americus Dental Labs, Inc., a leading full-service dental laboratory company that is based in Jamaica, NY with annual revenues of $28 million.
“The Americus lab group and the 300-plus members of its team represent an excellent fit with DSG,” according to Dental Services Group’s President/CEO Robert Ditta, CDT. “We look forward to working with our new partners toward the achievement of our long-term strategic growth plan.” George Benson, President/CEO of Americus stated “This is a great opportunity for Americus to join forces with a progressive organization and the merger will provide substantial synergies for the two companies.” In addition, Ditta stated that Keith Adams has shifted roles from Director of Finance to Vice-President and that he will be responsible for the operations of the Americus labs
