the Jews and the Palestinians are both victims of the Middles East's colonial past. Don't forget that the US was initially against the creation of the state of Israel, and the then USSR was a supporter. How things had changed then.
There was a UN resolution a long long time ago for the creation of a state for those displaced Palestinan people but was never implemented due to the disinterest of the West..
