You have just displayed your ignorance of history - Eisenhower in his final speech wanted to use the words " politico, military industrial complex " but was told to take Politics out. Why would that be? For Politicians are to be purchased to bring about whatever changes that those in power desire. So look at the Democrats - all on board the climate change train; virtually the same with the GOP......before Trump came along.
Politics in the USA is all about money & power. Billionaires can make extra billions from converting to renewables by establishing the foundations of the new grids and benefiting from Government grants (look at Musk) - only the West is stupid enough to push forward with this. You do realize that China, India, Russia & Africa won't get on board the CC destruction train?
The issue now is that the West has done such a great job of indoctrination that the young people (think Greta) want the stone age now - no transition thank you! So sadly the West is/has cut it's own throat/own goal and we will see the EU collapse, then the USA. We may survive, for I think we will hitch our train to China. (Not the best outcome).
