Ok, lets unpack this comment about "big guys selling". I have taken the time to looking at the movements data between 1st September and 17th Dec 2021:
There were 3,367 shareholder movements over the period
1,163 sold 100% of their position over the period
88 of these had a balance of above 1m shares
2 of these had a balance of above 10m shares (largest was 23.5m)
8 shareholders that had a balance of >10m shares at the start of the period were net buyers
394 shareholders has a balance at the start of 0 and balance at end of 0 and bought / sold 185m shares
As you can see is it not the "big guys selling" or any other of that BS. It is in fact retail sellers hoping for a quick buck (or Lambo) not understanding that an oil company takes time to build and develop.
Operationally BRK are doing everything right. They are developing their wells in a prudent manner, they have cleaned up the balance sheet, they have not taken on any debt (which is a killer for oil companies) and the December quarterly will reflect all the Jewell cashflows so net cashflow will be a monster.
I am not inducing anyone to buy or sell (discl. I have been a shareholder for over 5 years and am a T5) but I am asking you guys not to sling BS comments without actually doing the analysis.
The "big guys" have been doing the heavy lifting supporting BRK over the years and continue to do so - don't blame us if your Lambo has not arrived for Christmas.
