the US Marines MPM contract is for non-lethal and is a major program of record, 312 multi-barrel systems plus munitions in the follow on means major major major dollars without an HE round in sight.

The PNG MAUL order while small is a PRODUCTION order that forces the company to deliver a PRODUCT using a PRODUCTION PROCESS that can then continue to make more and more weapons and ammunition for sale - with a market that includes law enforcement as well as the slow moving military procurement machine.....

This company has to make stuff it can sell, and do it now. To me it seems that yes they seem to be going off the boil on HE Certification - but they are doing so because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush... and they can make products quickly and get them out there selling by going the way they are going.

Lets face it they need to get off the shareholder teet as soon as possible and start making their own money - IMHO that is what they are doing - with MAUL and the MPM program leading that charge.

Like I said IMHO - others clearly have a different view, but I want them to get those MAULs out and being sold to all comers as fast as possible.
