Yes, the 2nd bulletin is nothing earth shattering or any great cause for a celebration. However, it does show that steady progress is being made.

I too have been hanging on for years (and years and years..). However, having been in development and testing of new technological products over many (more) years, I know just how hard it is to get things right for a final product and its marketing. It's nearly always a matter of trial and error to find the right combination of practical ideas, software and equipment that will work and sell - and wrong paths are often taken requring a backtrack or even abandonmnet of previous work. That's the way these things usually are. MST's situation is further complicated in that they deal with life and death equipment and some of the largest bureaucracies in the world.

So, I'm not so critical of Dr Finnear, I think that by and large he's doing a good job. Financial management in the previous few years in regard to estimating and obtaining capital has been sadly grossly insufficient leading to the outcomes of the past couple of years - but then it wasn't the boards fault that venture capital pretty well dried up except at firesale conditions. This isn't the only company that has happenned to! Pretty well all of my speculative share portfolio companies have had the same problem. (They've all survived, but some, like MST, only just). With perfect board decisions and futuresight, we wouldn't have many problems, but futuresight is not a common attribute.

I agree with Ryman in the "bulletin is out" thread. They've chosen what looks like the most practical path to ensure some success for the company which will subsequently allow it to grow and achieve better things, and they do seem to be getting on with it, even if not as quickly as we might all like in order to boost the sp.
