They might give them a nasty suck as they have no teeth. A fine doesn't hurt the board, it only hurts shareholders. The directors are insured - by you the shareholders - against any claim, so again their ass is covered by you the shareholders. When was the last time you heard of a large corporation director being banned? I would expect them to have already done a deal before agreeing to testimony.
