I'm not too sure if I agree with that... Yes, the owner of Hydrix (Mark) gets a $2m 'cash injection', but if PSY fails, and let's say SP drops down to next to nothing. Someone else can literally come and buy up PSY for a few million, which would include Hydrix in the purchase.
And IF that happens, the new owner of PSY could remove Mark from the board and other operations, while they run it (PSY or Hydrix or both) as a private company or strip all the clients/IP/products. Therefore, Mark would actually hope/want PSY to succeed, not to mention all the benefits that he will get.
Although another view could be that, it was a reverse take over, in which it wouldn't surprise me. Since Mark got a seat on the board, and Hydrix operates as normal, while our CEO is also involved with Hydrix.
In saying so, it may not be a bad thing, letting Hydrix - a competent cashflow positive business, have access to our IP, while having a client base that could utilise our IP. All of this while we are all part-owners of it and will benefit from it.
I think the whole picture isn't too clear at the moment, with future directions and how the PSY and Hydrix partnership will really work. But I think we are better off with Hydrix than not.
