SEG indicated the following - "The drill programme has been designed to test and confirm the presence of mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the target areas. Segue anticipates the drilling programme will be completed within four (4) weeks. Following drilling, Segue will analyse the litho-geochemical fingerprint of the intrusive rocks to identify
those with fertile chemistry for nickel sulphides".

OMG - not drilling for mineralisation?? - drilling for litho-geochemical finger prints?? - fertile mafic rocks??

it is hard enough just finding the mineralisation which if any good and close enough to surface will show some geochemistry and a decent EM anomaly or if not exposed somehow to surface then a decent EM anomaly will do - So SEG in their wisdom go chasing gravity anomalies, which then might signify mafics which might be fertile ( believeing of course they can actually be able to tell the difference).

this is academic exploration as apposed to proper practical exploration using known and well documented techniques as outlined above. with so little money SEG are drilling to find mafics - whoo hoo - staggering stuff really. the next step had to be geochem plus or minus EM over the gravity anomalies??!!

and when they believe they have a fertile mafic - what will they do - geochem and EM??

    aggghhh
