You could argue that no applications require a speed faster than dial up, it just enhances the experience.
I am not talking about playing Solitaire on Wireless, the games I am talking about could not be played on Wireless.
Talk to people who play WOW and other popular games and ask them why they pay extra money to increase the response of fixed line Internet.
Gamers are big business that create a large amount of Employment and Income for Business, it also produces a lot of Tax Income for the Australian Government.
Don't fall into the misconception that because you can play Solitaire on Wireless, then all games will play effectively on Wireless.
Just as a foot note, I am not a Gamer. And I do have Telstra Mobile Broadband that serves me well for most of the time, but it is not the answer for everyone.
