Today's finrew reports Conroy as saying that we will like his fibre through the trees as its a skinny little cable quite unlike the clunky payTV cables of the 1980's.
Maybe so but it will still cause much disruption and destruction to install and it is MUCH more likely to be damaged than an underground equivalent, require higher maintenace throughout its life and when damaged we'll be without both phone and broadband till its fixed - rather than just payTV.
