    I have pointed this out in earlier posts. The temptation will prove too great for the NBN to resist stringing the ugly cables everywhere. Try 75% cable 25% ducts.

    Sure its cheaper in the initial roll out phase, but the maintenance costs are massive. As you say, also if there is a tree that falls on the line, we will lose not just electicity but broadband and phone assuming in10 years most are on VOIP.

    I wish this opposition could communicate all the hidden traps in this NBN.
    What we need is someone who can hold an audience and explain complex issues.
