I think that unless a company is SUPER LUCKY and starts a drilling campaign AT THE RIGHT SPOT on the first go, they have to do a few such campaigns to strike it (if at all)...
SEG had its first go and didn't hit anything of interest...they will have to have another (and probably more) go if they were to hit the sweetspot...
I have never seen the first drill campaign turn out as expected ever (at least not in the companies I have invested in)...someone who has had their lucky shot on go one please share your story...
the nearest I have been to was with SLR when it debuted with a home run... the other 99.99999% have had to go through multiple rounds of drilling to find something commercial... most never do...
Hit - to - Miss ratio is minuscule in this end of the town...
