comparing gas stocks.. It's good to diversify & have shares in quite a few of the gas & energy stocks - both QGC & AOE are excellent stocks on the rise & will get better when closer to fulfillling their forward contracts next year but also would like someone here who is savvy with working out share prices based on market capital/gas sales etc who can see if also MPO is good value...(6c today) - QGC may show up as the standout too when it's all summarised....
I put this on the MPO board last week & got no answers (but the price rose...?) so I'm over here now as I don't want my hard work putting some basic facts & figures together going to waste - query any figures that don't seem right as I may have missed things when scrounging around the reports - hoping someone can summarise all this a bit better...
MPO - 20 PJ (1P), 58PJ (2P), 151 PJ (3P) = 229
- expecting more upgrades very soon (USA...?)
- has $$ in from gas sales to Origin/Qld Cotton
- has contract for gas sales to Ergon in 2007
- $2.04 million cash in bank but raising some more
from already pre-nominated investors
- 20,662,199 shares & 122,480,622 options (10c)
QGC - latest report says 178 (1P) & 470 (2P) = 648 ?
- previous said only 295 (?) so has more than
doubled & 2 more projects to report on
- forward contracts to supply gas from 2006
- $26.1 Million cash in bank
- 352,600,917 shares - 16,170,000 Options (?)
- 9,190,000 Employee options
AOE - 25PJ (1P), 166PJ (2P), 2148PJ (3P) = 2339
- First gas sales to be Dec 2005 to CS Energy
- Forward contracts to start mid - late 2006
- $3.87 Million cash in bank
- 175,546,995 shares - 6,493,675 Conv notes
- 7,924,993 Employee Options
MPO appears to be the only one actually receiving any revenue from gas sales yet so far - also the options listed on QGC I think possibly may not exist anymore as weren't they all exercised in July but then I haven't included the AOEG convertible notes in either & maybe this amount are the notes issue on the report...?
Anyway, I think it would be good to see how these 3 Qld Gas companies compare with their share prices varying from 6c to 55c to 70c....
I know there are some of you out there that would find this exercise easy so can they please finish it off for me & give their viewpoint......thanks...
