It seems obvious to some/many/most? people that the world's financial state at the moment is very dicey.
It may well stumble along through the 'powers that be' using all the tricks they can think of/up - and we're left with an extremely volatile market making huge swings, both up and down, on any news that seems to have some impact on the market's future.
But, paraphrasing one of Croup's comments today, haemmorhage doesn't have to be drastic, just continual, to end in the patient's death.
But I wonder if the gods are not setting we mere mortals up. Imagine the way the market in it's current circumstance would react to the coincidental occurence of some disaster from way out in left field.
I have no idea what it could be. Perhaps Rooster's supervolcano in Indonesia, or the one under Yellowstone Natrional Park, or a dirty bombing of London, or slippage along the San Andreas Fault, or a 'flu pandemic worse than that of 1918/19 ... or something even worse.
So I wonder if the gods, in their infinite wisdom, are all seated and watching us now.
The fat lady is just getting ready to make her entrance. She's nowhere near singing her song yet - imo.
