Interesting merger. Been watching LSG for quite a while with a view to getting in. Thinking the bottom is right about now...combining with AuSelect provides a degree of flexibility in investment that I think outweighs the negative tax implications. For example, WEZ (certainly in my opinion) will ultimately be a great mid-cap gold miner...and an excellent long-term hold. The new entity will be comfortable with it - and hold a huge portion of it for significant long-term gains.

May just pick up a few LSG this week...at this price....wonder what the performance would have been without LAF having been such a dreadful story. Hopefully the worst is over...
