Your carbon credits although have the right idea are worthless also.

Quick lesson, all plantation trees, gums, pines etc create alpatites the alpatites are a tree born round up created to poison the ground around the trees to give them the best chance of survival.
In Australia all the mountain ranges grow gums, Aboriginals burnt them to many times, alpatites everywhere nothing grows on the mountain ranges any more.
Next time you look at the blue mountains, great dividing range take notice.
Now place like WA that grew pine plantations etc the farm land is worthless, nothing grows there now.
All eucalypts product a natural poison that stops pretty much anything growing under them. It's also a known carcinogen. I am was sure it is called Alpatite.

Any way plantations bad for environment. Worse then coal.

Anyway no one probably cares but worth having a read into.
