Who would have thought that Bolt would engage in a piece of base opportunism like this? For as long as I can remember political leaders in this country have periodically been ushered out of buildings due to real or perceived threats by disaffected people. Life goes on. I'm still waiting to see a picture that shows any violence. So far as I can tell there were zero arrests, zero injuries and zero broken windows in the restaurant. I've seen footage from 2 television networks and worked through the gallery of 19 photos on the Daily Telegraph website. There may have been some individuals using language that could have an individual suspended from Hot Copper for a few days but that's roughly the extent of the damage. The most serious threat to our political leaders was when Gillard nearly tripped over her own security cordon in it's enthusiasm to protect her.
