I wouldn't be so sure that AF is completely negative gas. He is heavily involved in bringing a gas import terminal to Australia.
Why would you do that and not also get involved in a gas play like Strike?
Maybe he sees the need for gas as a short
term bridging solution until renewables can truly carry the base load banner.

It seems less likely than Gina snatching up the other half of WE but if a bid comes from her there may be a few surprise bidders. One can only hope at this stage as creating value through exploration and development doesn't seem to be working.
