What happened today Kevin Rudd brought on himself though his arrogance, poor management and lies.
Today is a good day for Australian democracy, it reinforces why we have this system and not an American style presidency.
Kevin Rudd had forgotten that he wasn't a president, he had forgotten that he needed the support of his colleagues and party to govern. He held his position at their pleasure not the other way round and Kevin Rudd had their support as long as his party had the support of the electorate.
The polls told Labor that they were losing the support of the electorate, they told Labor that the electorate was not happy with Kevin Rudd style of government and they acted on that, there you go democracy in action.
Now you cant do that with a president.
