as the profits of mining companies rise, so does the tax taken

there is an argument to try to claw back more taxation revenue when profits margins increase

but the tax proposed was too extreme; it was incorrect

plus Rudd & his people asserted it would be introduced before consulting with industry & the community

Rudd suffered from delusions of power & granduer

He acted like a dictator

Rightly, he was dismissed (just like the bully Howard was dismissed without mercy)
