Twiggy (Wyloo) correctly picked the bottom of the market here for Regis and got acceptances for 12% of the company when looking for 15%, (they already held 4.5% of the company)
Falling 3% points short of their target, Wyloo abandoned the deal and have left over $130M on the table.
Well done to those who rejected the offer and those lucky ones whose shares were rejected by Wyloo. Clearly they were trynig to get the maximum holding of 19.9% but I never really understood why they didn't accept the 16% ? I'm not a billionaire so can only imagine it was more about the power game than the financial reward.
