A great series, but also a representation of a different time and place.
It takes a special person to be a member of the SAS, they are expected to be efficient killers and perform in the most high-end combat situations.
It also takes an even more special person to do the above and hold up the expectations the Australian military has in regards to the conduct of war.
It seems BRS may have failed on the second criteria.
That being said we do have a duty of care to soldiers such as BRS whose behavior may have been a result of their service not due to the person he naturally is.
This is not an excuse for a lack of accountability for his actions, but there is a path for BRS through integrity and honesty (high on the list of character traits valued in the service) to be able to live a life of respect and honour.
That is a journey he needs to initiate himself.
