Hey tex,

I wonder if the Sydney media will rip into Newcastle for losing 52-6 w/o Johns the same way they ripped Saints a few weeks back.

Johns & Buderus carved Saints up for about 10 mins that night before the boys dropped their intensity in what effectively became an early season lost cause.

The media carved them up - particularly Ray Chesterton.

Now that the Knights have shown their hand, I wonder if they'll cop the same treatment?

As far as I'm concerned, these "blips" happen from time to time - even the Cowboys got flogged by 50 in a semif final!

As for Johns...he is the best I have ever seen, but I still cannot believe how bad the Knights are without him. I mean, he doesn't do all their tackling....

makes you wonder whether they dropped their intensity as well, once that game was gone. After all, it is a long season, the game is so fast, and whilst the mid is willing the body can be weak when you are done by 24 pts or so and it is ridiculous for us as fans to expect these players to go flat out every minute of every game - particularly when you can no longer win the contest.

Off to the Rooters game on Tuesday...I'll be in the Bay with all the Dragons fans opposite the players tunnel.
